What We Do

SpectraLink designs, manufactures, and markets wireless telephone systems that integrate with an enterprise's existing telephone system to provide communication access anywhere in the workplace. This enables greater workplace mobility, higher productivity, and rapid response to customers. SpectraLink's Wireless telephone systems are recognized as the highest quality, yet most cost effective in the industry, with superior reliability, durability, coverage, and voice quality.

NetLink Wireless Phone operate over Wi-Fi networks, allowing mobile voice and data applications to share a common wireless infrastructure. The Link Wireless telephone system™ (Link WTS) uses proprietary Base Stations operating at 902-928 MHz to provide superior radio performance for dedicated voice applications.

How We Do It

SpectraLink Wireless Phone connect to an enterprise telephone system through standard or proprietary IP telephony protocols or traditional circuit-switched digital or analog interfaces. IP or circuit-switched digital interfaces are available for more than 90% of the enterprise telephone systems installed in the U.S., providing users access to advanced capabilities such as multiple-line appearances and display features.

NetLink Wireless Telephones operate as client devices on Wi-Fi networks utilizing the IEEE 802.11b global standard, allowing converged mobile voice and data applications on a single wireless infrastructure. SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP), a quality-of-service (QoS) mechanism, is employed on the wireless LAN to ensure excellent voice quality with minimal impact on data throughput. NetLink Wireless Telephones integrate with the best-selling PBX systems and support proprietary IP protocols as well as H.323 for enterprise wireless VoIP solutions.

Link Wireless Phones operate on a network of proprietary Base Stations utilizing advanced spread spectrum radio technology, which provides comprehensive coverage and interference immunity in any commercial environment.

SpectraLink's Open Application Interface (OAI) enables users to access text information with the Wireless Telephone. OAI applications include database access, inventory and price checks, and nurse call integration.
